Joy Mukherjee to Bring Transformative IT Leadership, Expertise

HANOVER, MD — Johns Hopkins Health Plans has announced the hiring of its new Vice President of Information Systems, Joy Mukherjee. Mukherjee, who will join Johns Hopkins Health Plans on Dec. 4, most recently served as Vice President of Application Development and Support at CareSource, a nonprofit managed care organization serving more than 2 million members.

An accomplished senior executive with nearly 30 years of experience leading and transforming IT, Mukherjee has worked with health plans for more than two decades, including various IT leadership roles at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.

“Joy is a perfect fit for our organization,” said Ryan O’Donnell, Johns Hopkins Health Plans’ Chief Operating Officer. “His demonstrated experience on ensuring that technology enables our business strategy focused on provider and member experience will be instrumental in achieving our strategic objectives.”

In this executive role, Mukherjee will lead the IT organization to further Johns Hopkins Health Plans’ goals across key areas, including data and analytics, IT security, member and provider experience, core system modernization, and much more.
