It's a Telly! Johns Hopkins' Cancer Education Videos Win Three Telly Awards
Release Date: July 31, 2014

The Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center has been awarded three Telly Awards for two educational videos on pediatric and pancreatic cancers. A pediatric cancer video called "I Have Cancer" received two of its highest honors, the Silver Telly, in the Education and Health and Wellness categories. A Bronze Telly in the Education category was awarded for the video "The Pancreas Cancer Couples Retreat at Johns Hopkins." The award-winning videos were selected from some 12,000 worldwide entries. Winners are chosen by the Silver Telly Council, which includes leaders in advertising, production and creative services from across the U.S.
The videos were produced and edited by the center’s advisory board member and Emmy-award winning producer Laurie Singer, photojournalist and editor Tim Bloomquist, sound technician and editor Mike Vogel and members of the Kimmel Cancer Center’s Office of Public Affairs.
