Suburban Nurses Give Back to the Community

Suburban Hospital's Nursing Professional Development Council, in partnership with the Community Health and Wellness Department, collaborated with other Montgomery County hospitals to pay it forward by assembling 500 COVID-19 preventive care kits for underserved communities impacted by the pandemic. These kits included masks, hand sanitizers, soaps, toothpaste, toothbrushes, tissues and more, with more than 12,500 individual items donated!

Organizations served through this community outreach initiative include:

  • Mary’s Center
  • Kaseman Health Clinic
  • The Germantown Distribution HUG @ Black Rock
  • Street Outreach Network, Department of Health and Human Services
  • Care for your Health
  • CASA of Maryland
