Shop Local, Fresh Produce at a Johns Hopkins Farmers Market
If you enjoy freshly picked produce and savory meals, plan to stop by a Johns Hopkins farmers market in the next few weeks. At The Johns Hopkins Hospital, the farmers market takes place every Thursday
from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. along the Jefferson Street pathway. Due to renovations, the market will end early this year, on Thursday,
Sept. 29.

Memorial Lecture
The Henrietta Lacks Memorial Lecture takes place on Saturday, Oct. 1, beginning at 8 a.m., featuring keynote speaker Damon
Tweedy, assistant professor of psychiatry at
Duke University and author of A Black Man in a White Coat: A Doctor’s Reflections on Race and Medicine. The 2016 winners of both the Henrietta Lacks Dunbar Health Sciences Scholarship and the Urban Health Institute’s Henrietta Lacks Memorial Community Award will be
announced.
