Johns Hopkins All Children's Wins Patient Safety Honor

Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital was named as a top children’s hospital for patient safety and quality by The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to health care safety and quality. It is the fourth time in five years the hospital has been named to the list, and Johns Hopkins All Children’s remains the only pediatric hospital in the Tampa Bay area on the list.
The hospital is one of 15 pediatric hospitals nationwide to earn this recognition in 2025.
The Leapfrog Group recognizes hospitals based on benchmarks for patient safety, quality, transparency and patient experience. Children’s hospitals are evaluated across eight domains, which include 30 measures for medication safety, complex surgery, safety reporting, infection prevention and patient-centered care.
In addition to honoring 15 children’s hospitals, the Leapfrog Group awarded 2025 Top Honors to 52 general hospitals, 16 rural hospitals and 73 teaching hospitals.
