Academic Specialists at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center

Led by Dr. Mostafa Borahay, the division provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in a hospital-based academic setting. Eight faculty members manage a broad range of clinical services while also contributing substantially to the department’s academic mission. The group maintains a strong research orientation, with faculty engaged in collaborative clinical studies and translational efforts, complementing the separate laboratory work already highlighted. General Gynecology and Obstetrics at The Johns Hopkins Hospital

Led by Dr. Betty Chou, the division provides care across the full continuum of women’s health, from preventive well-woman visits and routine obstetrics to high-risk pregnancy management and gynecologic surgery. Faculty and advanced practitioners bring expertise in areas such as adolescent contraception, menopausal health, cervical dysplasia, and perinatal mental health, ensuring continuity of care across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical settings.
