Richard Tang-Wai, M.D., joined the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hough Family Institute for Brain Protection Sciences in August as a pediatric neurologist and chief of epilepsy. He sees patients on the hospital’s St. Petersburg, Florida, campus.

He was previously co-director of pediatric epilepsy/neurophysiology and associate professor at Loma Linda University in California. Tang-Wai has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and given many talks nationally and internationally.

Tang-Wai earned his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal. He completed a pediatric neurology residency at Montreal Neurological Institute/Montreal Children’s Hospital and McGill University. He then completed a clinical neurophysiology and pediatric epilepsy fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio.
