January 2024 was a happy beginning to the new year, with Suburban receiving its second Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The Magnet Recognition Program is the highest honor recognizing professional nursing practice and places Suburban alongside the less than 10% of hospitals in the U.S. which are Magnet-designated and the first hospital in Montgomery County to achieve this honor.

Magnet designation benefits both patients and families by driving improvements in clinical outcomes for patients and helping recruit and retain even more talented, compassionate nurses.
