A Double Dedication

On May 25, 1964 — the same day as the annual Wilmer Residents Association meeting — the Wilmer Eye Institute community celebrated two monumental milestones: the dedications of the Alan C. Woods Research Building and the Jonas S. Friedenwald Library.
Upwards of 600 people attended the dedication banquet. The legendary comedian Bob Hope was a guest speaker at the event.
