Amy Sullivan, R.N., a clinical nurse in the Institute for Brain Protection Sciences, is the DAISY Award recipient. She was nominated for this honor by a parent who wrote:

“Amy cared for our daughter during her hospital stay. She helped carry our family through this experience – talking to us about what to expect over the next couple of days, listened to our concerns and remained encouraging every step of the way. She was always present when we needed her, going above and beyond to care for our daughter. Amy is a wonderful nurse and made a positive impact during our stay at All Children’s.”

 Amy’s manager added:

“We have been so lucky to have Amy as a clinical nurse over the past nine years. She exemplifies our core values in her daily practice and continually advocates for her patients and families. Amy possesses a wealth of knowledge for our new and current nurses – serving as a preceptor and helping to lecture during conferences and educational sessions. We are thankful that she is part of our team.”

Congratulations, Amy, and thank you for your commitment to patient- and family-centered care.
