I hope to build longitudinal relationships with patients and partner with them to address acute and chronic diseases in an individualized, holistic manner. I’m interested in specializing in gastroenterology.

I plan to pursue a career in infectious diseases with particular interest in care for immune compromised patients. I have additional professional interests in ethics, education, and medical humanities.

Cooking, watching classic movies, staying active in my parish, history, creative writing, and spending time with my wife (and co-ACS!).

Baltimore is a vibrant city with all kinds of fantastic restaurants and culture – I especially love my neighborhood of Brewers Hill. Also roof decks. Also crab cakes.

Knitting, needlepoint embroidery, gardening, tennis, theology, bread baking, reading history and fiction, spending time with my husband (and co-resident!).

I aspire to pursue a career in primary care and geriatrics. My goal is to provide longitudinal, holistic care to older adults living with chronic illness. I am also passionate about academic teaching and community engagement.

I enjoy working out at the gym while listening to music or podcasts. I also like going on road trips, spending time in nature, and trying new foods.

What are your career goals?
I plan to find the subspecialty that feels like home while I learn to be a compassionate, collaborative, and competent physician. Ultimately, I hope to be a physician scientist studying the mechanisms behind human disease, potentially leveraging my scientific interest in immunology to study allergy or infectious disease.

What are some of your main interests outside of medicine?
Too many! I love spending time outdoors in nature, especially hiking with my family and my dog. I love birding and observing wildlife. I enjoy making art: oil painting, watercolor painting, drawing, and printmaking. I knit in the winter, and I enjoy experimenting to make my favorite baked goods dairy-free!

What are your career goals?
I am a physician-historian in training. I am working toward being a primary care physician, with an interest in serving immigrant and senior patients. As a historian who originally trained as a classicist I research widely the premodern European tradition of medicine. I have broad academic interests in medical humanism, narrative medicine, and medical ethics. In my medical practice and scholarship I try to enact the proposition that historical humanism provides intellectual resources for a holistic view of patient flourishing.

What are your career goals?
I’m excited to build a career that blends clinical excellence with a strong commitment to health equity. I hope to provide compassionate, evidence-based care while also serving as a mentor and staying closely connected to the communities I work with, especially those that are immigrant or historically underserved.

What are some of your main interests outside of medicine?
Outside the hospital, I enjoy playing the clarinet, tending to my garden, and winding down with video games, especially titles from the Legend of Zelda and the broader Nintendo universe. Online gaming has also been a fun way to stay in touch with family and friends across the country. I spend my free time writing poetry, discovering new coffee shops around the city, and listening to music from around the world, with a special love for K-pop, cumbia, and Spanish-language artists. I'm always up for a game night or just relaxing with friends.

The people. From day one, I felt like I was joining a community that leads with kindness and purpose. It is the kind of place where attendings remember your name, co-residents genuinely support one another, and small acts of care are never overlooked. Bayview lives out the spirit of the starfish story, where impact is measured not by scale but by sincerity. Even helping one person can be profoundly meaningful. That value is woven into the culture here, and it is what makes this place feel like home.

Baltimore has a unique energy and sense of pride that’s easy to appreciate. There’s a creative spirit in the murals, the local music, and the food, which I’ve really enjoyed getting to know.

What are your career goals?
Primary care and public health research are my main interests within internal medicine. I believe my clinical work will inform the topics I research for public health and vice versa. In my future practice, I also want to promote women’s health.

For as long as I remember, I have danced and played piano. Recently, I’ve also picked up embroidery as a meditative hobby. Still, it's hard to beat the simple pleasure of taking a walk in the park with my husband and daughter.

Johns Hopkins Bayview supports individualized experiences for residents based on their interests. I’m eager to do more women’s health rotations and take advantage of the vast resources Hopkins has.

Outside the hospital, you can catch me going on a hike with my dog Calyx or at a local coffee shop. I have a large houseplant collection of many different species and mostly have Hoya because they are pet-friendly and are known for their unique blooms.

One of the main reasons I chose to join Bayview is that the program truly embodies its mission of making medicine a better public trust — a commitment that truly extends to the residents, faculty and staff. What is one thing you love about Baltimore?
It’s so hard to choose one single thing as there is so much to love about Baltimore! I love that there is always something to do here no matter what you are interested in. For my fellow plant lovers, there is a monthly plant swap that happens at Peabody Heights Brewery. There are also local vendors and artists that come by and it is a great place to meet people in the community. You don’t need to bring or buy a plant to enjoy!

What are your career goals?
To become a physician-scientist who combines medicine with cutting-edge AI and genomics, transforming precision medicine from a buzzword into everyday reality for both clinicians and patients. That’s only possible by caring for patients, seeing the shortcomings in current medicine, and bringing innovative ideas directly from “the bench (or computer!) to the bedside”.

What are some of your main interests outside of medicine?
Doctor/scientist by day, musician by night—I lead a double life with the alias Eyeglasses. When I'm not donning a stethoscope, I'm performing modern music on electric cello or writing indie-pop songs for your Spotify. You may have caught me serenading at Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden, Yankee Stadium, or in the Baltimore Inner Harbor. Don’t be surprised to see me playing at a wedding, or even filling hospitals and patient rooms with music. Music is Medicine.

It’s the genuine sense of community. From day one, I felt embraced by colleagues who are not just world-class clinicians but also genuinely caring humans who make mentorship feel more like friendship, and friendship feel like family. At Bayview, everyone’s got your back.

I am still relatively new to Baltimore and have a lot more to explore, but what has stood out to me so far is how welcoming and helpful people have been.
