Combined Therapies

Patients with pancreatic cancer may be treated with a combination of therapies. The goal of combination therapies is to improve the attack on cancer cells and its ability to evade and resist treatments over time. Combination therapies include two or more of the following used together:

  • Surgery
  • Radiation therapy
  • Drug therapies: a single drug or two or more drugs in combination
  • Immunotherapy

Research is helping our pancreatic cancer experts determine what types and combinations of therapies work and in whom, when to give them, and how long to give them. We have international leaders in oncology, surgery, immunotherapy, pathology, genetics and epigenetics, and every discipline involved in the treatment of pancreatic cancer. These experts put all of these pieces of the puzzle together to create the best treatment plan for each patient.
