Enhanced clinical programming by integrating cardiology, cardiac surgery and vascular surgery programs to provide adult patients with a full range of heart and vascular services at JHAH.
In 2014, Saudi Aramco and Johns Hopkins Medicine launched Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH), a first-of-its-kind joint venture, creating a tremendous opportunity to fuel clinical innovation and serve as a model in providing leading-edge health care in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and beyond.
Since then, JHAH has hit major milestones, including adding needed clinical services, making patient care safer and more accessible, adapting treatments and protocols based on the latest research and technology, streamlining clinical operations and clinical programming, and improving patient safety, satisfaction and outcomes.
How We Work Together
-
Developed a comprehensive sickle cell program by implementing Johns Hopkins best practices to provide patients with access to much-needed, personalized care.
-
Developed the first Doctorate of Nursing Practice health care education program to bring Johns Hopkins’ higher education to JHAH — and the Kingdom — to expand nurse training and leadership skills.
-
Introduced palliative care — a new concept in many countries — to ease the suffering that comes with chronic pain, and established a holistic, multidisciplinary program based at Dhahran Health Center.
- Established a robust clinical rotation program focused on education and practical training.
- Improved access to care and patient experience.
Together, we created an integrated health organization that can address the most pressing health challenges of JHAH’s patient population and beyond.
