Al Madinah Association for Autism was formed by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is a specialty medical center providing high quality medical care to children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Kennedy Krieger Institute, an internationally recognized institution dedicated to improving the lives of children and young adults with pediatric developmental disabilities and disorders, and Al Madinah Association for Autism are working together to develop an effective and high-quality approach to care for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder in Saudi Arabia. Advisory efforts are focused on assessment and rehabilitation services and training programs. Johns Hopkins Medicine International has facilitated the advisory agreement between these two organizations.

How We Work Together

Kennedy Krieger Institute will deliver the following services:

  • Measure development, ongoing coursework and guidance on procedural operations to improve care for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

  • Administer primary developmental and diagnostic assessment measures with high fidelity, accurately formulate diagnoses, and create a positive patient and family experience through the delivery of professional development activities.

  • Incorporate new evidence-based innovations.

  • Develop outcome measures for new services.

  • Assess services and programs to support systematic growth and delivery of high-quality services.

  • Support strong integration and functionality between departments.
