Can we improve outcomes by integrating molecular, pathological, and clinical data to match patients with the best therapies?
Vision
Enhance the outcomes for lung cancer patients through integrative data-driven approaches that deliver precise diagnosis and personalized treatment.
Mission
Build a learning health system that delivers a comprehensive clinical and molecular understanding of our lung cancer patients to improve their pathways to diagnosis, enable guideline-driven personalized care, and increase access to translational research.
Lung Cancer Research and Precision Medicine
Questions we're asking that inform us on how to best care for patients include:

Molecularly-Matched Therapies

Novel Predictive Biomarkers
Can we discover novel clinical and biological predictors of response to therapies to tailor treatment?

Adaptive Treatment Strategies
Can we identify subsets of patients where new therapeutic strategies, beyond existing guidelines, are needed?
Patient Care for Lung Cancer
Our comprehensive Lung Cancer Program includes multi-disciplinary experts at multiple clinical sites of our National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Research Programs
Our Lung Cancer Program integrates collaborative research through the Bloomberg Kimmel Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy, the Cancer Immunology Program, and the Cancer Genetics and Epigenetics Program. Through these collaborations, we pursue translational research to improve our understanding of the molecular determinants of lung cancer therapy response and resistance.
