• Johns Hopkins on-site flu clinic locations
• Flu unit champion programs are available at participating locations including The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center, Johns Hopkins Sibley Memorial Hospital, Johns Hopkins Suburban Hospital and Johns Hopkins Community Physicians.
• At most on-site clinics, vaccines are available on a walk-in basis and an appointment is not required.

• Johns Hopkins faculty and staff may choose to receive the free flu vaccine at any  Walgreens retail location using a voucher.  Click to open the Walgreens voucher via VMS (JHED login required).
• This is a convenient option since it can be done anytime and will not interrupt your workday.  You must either print out a voucher or display the voucher on your phone at the time of service to receive the vaccine at Walgreens.  
• To save time, print and complete an vaccine administration record before the visit.
• Please make sure you get a copy of the vaccine administration record or pharmacy print-out from Walgreens before leaving the store for your records. 
• The high dose flu vaccine for employees age 65 and over will be available through this voucher program.
• Those with primary student affiliation will not have access to the vouchers in VMS.

• You may receive a vaccination from another outside pharmacy or an external health-care location with your health insurance benefit (check with your carrier if a copay may apply).

• Remember to obtain your vaccine record printout and upload the documentation to VMS by November 15th, 2024. This applies even if the health-care location where you obtain the vaccine is in the Johns Hopkins provider network.

• A pharmacy or a doctor’s office. If you receive your vaccine at any other flu vaccine provider using insurance, be sure that you or someone on your behalf submits documentation of immunization via the Vaccine Management System.

Requirements:

• Full name must be present on vaccine documentation
• Date of Vaccination must be legible
• All pages must be present
• Documentation must be readable
• If pharmacy receipt, the vaccine must clearly be listed 
• If the document is in a language other than English, it must include a certified English translation

 

Note: It may take up to one week for a flu vaccination outside of Johns Hopkins to be processed and receive your confirmation email.

Johns Hopkins Medicine & Johns Hopkins University

According to the new mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination policy (HEIC002) everyone must receive the influenza vaccine or possess an approved exception as defined by the above policy. The vaccine is provided free to covered personnel.

If you are a non-SOM Johns Hopkins University staff or faculty, please refer to appropriate JHU mandatory flu vaccine policy webpage. 

Vendors must show proof of having received the influenza vaccine before conducting business or working within a Johns Hopkins building.

As defined by the above policy, everyone (except Florida personnel) who has an approved exception must wear a mask within six feet of a patient during the flu season (November 15, 2024 to May 15, 2025).
