Call the JHCCC (443-287-8500, Option 1) during normal operating hours of 7am-7pm, 7 days a week.

  • ARE YOU COVID-POSITIVE?

    Positive test results card

    IMPORTANT!

    If you tested positive, complete the COVID Positive Test Submission form

    **Note: You will be required to submit documentation of your positive test result. If you are unable to upload this, please call the JHCCC (443-287-8500)**

    If you recently tested POSITIVE for COVID, you must meet the following criteria before returning to work on campus: 

    1. Complete the required isolation period (may vary by entity) 
    2. Your symptoms should be improving 
      • Note for JHM Employees and JHU Employees: Per JHM and JHU guidance, symptoms must be improving prior to returning to work on campus. Please monitor your symptoms and follow your standard call-out policies and procedures.
      • Note: Day 0 is the day of symptom onset, or the date of the positive test, whichever is first.

    3. You must be fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of any fever-reducing medicine 
    4. Diarrhea-free for at least 24 hours 
    5. Vomiting- free for at least 24 hours

    STILL UNWELL AFTER YOUR AUTOMATIC CLEARANCE, AFTER TESTING POSITIVE FOR COVID-19?

    Monitor your Johns Hopkins email for instructions and/or duty status notifications from the JHCCC..

  • ARE YOU COVID-NEGATIVE?

    Negative test results card

    If you recently tested NEGATIVE for COVID, you must meet the following criteria before returning to work on campus:  

    1. You must be fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of any fever-reducing medicine 
    2. Diarrhea-free for at least 24 hours 
    3. Vomiting-free for at least 24 hours 
    4. Did not develop any new or worsening symptoms since getting tested 
    5. Did not have any new or unreported exposures since getting tested

    If the JHCCC did not place you off-duty

    You may proceed with work. Monitor new or worsening symptoms and new exposures to COVID. Contact the JHCCC with any of the above for further review. You do not need to submit your negative COVID test results if the JHCCC has already evaluated you and did not place you off-duty.

    If you were placed off-duty by the JHCCC 

    You will be automatically cleared to return-to-work after we confirm your negative COVID test result. Please monitor your Hopkins email for communications from the JHCCC, including your automatic clearance notification.

    • If you were placed off-duty, and tested within Johns Hopkins:
       
      1. Once your negative result has been confirmed, you will receive an automated return-to-work email to your Hopkins email box.
      2. The JHCCC may call you if further information is required (i.e., you have a positive household exposure, reported loss of taste or smell, etc.).
         
    • If you were placed off-duty, and tested outside of Johns Hopkins:

      - You must submit a copy of your PCR COVID test to OHS-ECCC@jhmi.edu

      - Your test results should include the following information:
       
      1. Your first and last name
      2. Collection date
      3. Type of test
      4. Test result
    • If you were placed off-duty due to fever, diarrhea, or vomiting, and continue to have ongoing fever, diarrhea, or vomiting after your automated return-to-work notification, please complete the following:
       
      1. You must call out following your department’s standard call-out policy and
      2. Seek clearance from your local OHS office if you have been out of work for 3 days or more (JHM) or 3 consecutive scheduled shifts or more (JHU), per JHM Attendance Policy HR938 or JHU Sick Leave Policy HR025.

    If you develop new or worsening symptoms at any time after your test was collected, please call JHCCC back at 443-287-8500, option 1, for further review.

    If you have any new exposures to COVID-19 that were not initially reported, please call JHCCC back at 443-287-8500 option 1.

    If you are recovering from another illness or have non-COVID-19-related inquiries, please contact your local Occupational Health office.
