The multidisciplinary Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) Program spans the entire spectrum of HCM care. Some key services include management of obstruction, prescription and management of cardiac myosin inhibitors, evaluation and performance of septal reduction therapies (including surgical septal myectomy and alcohol ablation), arrhythmia risk stratification and management, genetic screening and evaluation for advanced heart failure therapies.

First Annual HCM Patient Symposium

Led by Jose Madrazo and Rick Carrick, over 70 patients, along with friends and family members, attended the HCM Patient Education Symposium on September 13, 2025, at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Topics included HCM disease diagnosis and prognosis, treatment, the latest in research, and patient support. Genetic screening was available to those who pre-registered.
