Must I enroll in the health insurance offered by JHUSOM?

All visiting students must have health insurance which is underwritten by a U.S. based insurance carrier and meets the minimum requirements established by JHUSOM.  Travel and foreign insurances are not acceptable.  If you do not have acceptable U.S. based insurance, you will be required to enroll in the JHUSOM student health program.

What are the visa requirements?

For most students, the Office of International Student, Faculty and Staff Services recommends that visiting medical students secure a combination B-1/B-2 nonimmigrant visa.

How do I apply for a visa?

The visa application process and services offered by this office will be provided once you have been accepted for an elective.
