Outpatient Center - Radiology

  • JHOPC 3rd, 4th and 5th floors
  • Nursing care and education for patients receiving IV and or oral contrast
  • Pediatric patients in Nuclear Medicine requiring kidney scans under sedation
  • Nurse assistance in management of contrast reaction and or extravasation as a complication of contrast administration including discharge teaching
  • Accessing central lines for hand contrast administration 
Patient Population
  • All ages
Number of Beds/Procedure Rooms
  • 3 reclining chairs and a stretcher
  • 3 CT Scanners
  • 3 MRI Scanners
  • Ultrasound Division
  • Nuclear Medicine Division
  • Diagnostic Radiology Division
Nurse/Patient Ratio
  • 1:1-2
Rotation/Shifts
  • Monday-Friday, 7am to 7:30pm
Skill Mix
  • 100 percent RN; 50 percent BSN
  • Required competencies: BLS, ACLS and PALS certification
Orientation
  • One week for experienced nurses
