Sterotactic Body Radiation Therapy

Joe Herman, M.D., radiation oncologist at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center discusses the use of stereotactic body radiation therapy as a way to treat tumors in cancer patients. The use of stereotactic body radiation allows the specific tumor to be targeted, limiting radiation dose to normal tissues. This causes less side effects for patient receiving radiation treatment for their cancer.
