Planning Your Visit

Your First Visit to the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins

Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center Virtual Tour

Experience the Center by taking a virtual tour of our clinical care building. "Walk" through our facilities to learn more about services and programs. Prepare for your first visit with this step-by-step guide.

The Kimmel Cancer Center uses a computerized patient tracking system called Smart Card. You will be issued a Smart Card before your first visit to the cancer center. The goal of the Smart Card system is to decrease the amount of time patients spend waiting for appointments. By swiping the card through a scanner at an ATM-like computer station, the system:

  • automatically checks you in
  • notifies doctors and nurses of your arrival
  • provides printed information about the day's scheduled appointments

**Please take a few minutes to fill out a survey regarding our Kimmel Cancer Center's "Virtual Tour" video.
