The George J. Stuart Award
The Stuart Award was established in 1969 following the bequest of a grateful patient, George J. Stuart of Washington, D.C. Dr. Stuart stipulated that the income from his bequest be presented to an outstanding clinical teacher in the School of Medicine. The selection is made by the senior students.

The Housestaff Teaching Award
The House Staff Teaching Award, established by The Johns Hopkins Medical Student Society, is awarded annually for excellence in clinical teaching by a member of the house staff. Its purpose is to recognize an individual's contributions, but also to emphasize the importance that the students attach to the concept of house officers as teachers.
