Hopkins GIM is proud to host an NIDDK-funded Diabetes Prevention & Control Core. The Core is part of the larger Baltimore Diabetes Research & Training Center, led by Dr. Fred Wondisford at Hopkins and Dr. Alan Shuldiner at the University of Maryland.
The goal of the P&C Core is to help prevent and control diabetes in Maryland and beyond by two means: first, by supporting diabetes research that focuses on the health of communities and populations; second, by providing a trusted source of information about diabetes and diabetes research for the people of Maryland and neighboring states.
