Job Description

Green Spring Station in Lutherville, Maryland

The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Division of General Internal Medicine is recruiting highly motivated BC/BE internal medicine physicians interested in a career in academic primary care. Recent graduates interested in developing into outstanding clinician-educators are encouraged to apply, although physicians at all levels of experience will be considered. In addition to providing primary care to a diverse population, faculty within the Division have the opportunity to develop clinical and educational programs based on their interests. Clinical leadership opportunities may also be available to appropriate candidates. Protected time and formal mentorship are available to assist physicians in meeting their career goals.

Opportunities currently exist at both urban and suburban clinic locations (Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Greenspring Station). Both practices operate through a team-based model that brings together physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, case managers, medical assistants, behavioral health specialists, and front-line staff to provide the highest quality care to its patients. Clinic templates and panel sizes are structured to maximize doctor-patient relationships. Participation in quality and safety initiatives, teaching of medical students and residents, and research projects is encouraged and supported.

Interested individuals should email a cover letter and copy of their CV to Bimal Ashar, MD, MBA.
