Frequently Asked Questions

Learn more about the Executive and Preventive Health Program with Johns Hopkins Medicine. We offer a comprehensive Executive Physical with one of our Johns Hopkins University faculty physicians at one of the nation’s leading hospitals.

Who can receive an Executive Physical?

Anyone can participate. You can schedule an Executive Physical as an individual or it may be provided as a benefit through certain employers.

Is the Executive Physical a Concierge Medicine service?

This preventive care examination works in conjunction with primary care and is not meant to replace that relationship. The Executive Physical provides a yearly comprehensive physical with a Johns Hopkins University internist, and may include other preventive care consultations that are available through the program. After your visit you will receive a personal summary report from the visit that, upon request, may also be sent to your primary care physician.

What is the cost of an Executive Physical?

The cost varies by participant in the program. Each patient’s set of services is customized to meet their specific needs, thus the cost fluctuates by person.

Who pays for an Executive Physical?

If you participate as an individual, you will be responsible for payment of all charges; we do not bill services to your health insurance provider. If you are eligible through your employer, charges for the Executive Health Program will be directed to your employer for payment.

Effective July 1, 2021 our invoices will no longer include CPT or Diagnosis codes so that patients may not submit to their insurer for reimbursement.

Will my insurance cover fees for the Executive Physical?

We do not bill services to your health insurance provider. Services outside of the Executive Health Program such as recommended follow-up or diagnostic procedures may be billed via your insurer.

Effective July 1, 2021 our invoices will no longer include CPT or Diagnosis codes so that patients may not submit to their insurer for reimbursement.

If the Executive Physical is a benefit through my employer, will my medical information be shared with my employer?

Your medical information is confidential and will not be shared with your employer. Your employer will only receive an invoice for payment.
