Orthopaedic and Spine Surgery

Orthopaedics focuses on injuries and diseases of a body’s musculoskeletal system. This complex system includes bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nerves and allows a person to move, work, and be active. Orthopaedic surgeons manage special problems of the musculoskeletal system. This involves:

  • Diagnosis of an injury or disorder
  • Treatment with medication, exercise, surgery or other treatment plans
  • Rehabilitation by recommending exercises or physical therapy to restore movement, strength and function
  • Prevention with information and treatment plans to prevent injury or slow the progression of diseases

Our orthopaedic surgeons, Drs. Jay Khanna, William Sadlack and Daniel Valaik,  have expertise in several areas. Dr. Khanna specializes in spine surgery, with specific interests in degenerative cervical disease, degenerative lumbar disease, spinal tumors, spinal infection and osteoporosis, while Dr. Sadlack specializes in hip replacement and revision surgery, knee replacement and revision surgery, shoulder arthroscopy and replacement surgery and sports medicine. Dr. Valaik specailizes in hip and knee surgery, including arthroscopy and joint replacement
