JHM LGBTQ+ ERG Pride Month Signature event

This signature event(co-sponsored with Johns Hopkins Diaspora ERG and Allies), will be held on June 11, 5–7:30 p.m., Hurd Hall, The Johns Hopkins Hospital. View a screening of Rustin, a documentary about Bayard Rustin, the Black gay civil rights pioneer who organized the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom in 1963. Register here

We are happy to announce the much-anticipated return of the Eager Park Concert Series 2024! This year’s FREE live concerts will feature Jazz, Classical, Folk and Caribbean music!  Come out and enjoy fresh air and great talent!

“Culturally Specific Healthy Masculinity” from the heart of a Lakota Equine Therapist

Join the JHM Indigenous ERG & Relatives on June 17, 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., for their June virtual session with Greg Gray Cloud. Greg Grey Cloud a member of the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe co-director of Wica Agli “To Return A Man” a native man against domestic and sexual abuse nonprofit located on the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. Where he offers Culturally Specific Healthy Masculinity (CSHM) teachings in a court ordered Men’s Re-Education program designed for men convicted of violent crime. Grey Cloud also an equine Therapist focusing on using Lakota Equine Therapy, in helping boys ages 10-17, heal from sexual violence and childhood trauma. Grey Cloud actively promotes the prevention of violence against women and children and works diligently to end violent crime and gender inequality in his community. Register here to attend

Join the Hopkins Diaspora & Allies ERG for a Juneteenth celebration on Wednesday, June 19, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Petersen Courtyard (Phipps Garden), Johns Hopkins Hospital. There will be information about the significance of Juneteenth, games, trivia, giveaways, and more!  Download and display a Juneteenth virtual background for use during Zoom and Microsoft Teams meetings.

2024 C.A.R.E.S. Symposium

2024 CARES Sypmposium

The JHM Office of Diversity Inclusion and Health Equity is hosting the Annual CARES Symposium on Thursday, July 25, from 9:00am-2:30pm in the Turner Auditorium and virtually via Zoom Events .

The C.A.R.E.S Symposium provides opportunities for students who participated in a Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine pathway program to share their summer research presentations to the Hopkins community, faculty, recruits from local colleges and universities, and network with high-achieving undergraduates.
