Sjogren's Syndrome Support Group
Second Tuesday of every month | 6:30 p.m. − 8:30 p.m.
Sjögren's ("SHOW-grins") is a chronic autoimmune disease in which white blood cells attack the moisture-producing glands. The hallmark symptoms are dry eyes and dry mouth, but it is a systemic disease and can spread throughout the entire body causing joint pain, major organ failure and lymphomas. The support group provides Sjögren's Syndrome patients and family members with an opportunity to learn more about the disease and how to manage its symptoms and provides emotional support. This is done by confidential patient-to-patient sharing discussions and/or by having an informative presentation by a health care professional or other expert.
