We strive to provide the finest possible clinical care for individuals with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorders and related conditions as well as support for their families. We invite you to learn about our clinical services that include short-term inpatient care, partial hospitalization (day hospital), and outpatient consultations and second opinions, and specialized outpatient treatment on two campuses for individuals with recent onset of symptoms and for patients with long-standing illness.
Our extensive research efforts are driven by that same passion to find the causes of schizophrenia and related disorders and to develop treatments to improve the lives of patients everywhere. Whether we are developing mouse models in the basic science lab, collecting epidemiological data to analyze schizophrenia at a population level, or using brain imaging to find abnormalities that underlie schizophrenia, the goal is the same: translation of these findings back into patient care.
We take our mission to educate the next generation very seriously by providing a range of professional learning environments from the bedside to the lab. Our varied programs train undergraduates, graduate students, residents, and postdoctoral fellows.
Sharing what we learn is key to making an impact on a disease as complex as schizophrenia. We collaborate across divisions, departments, institutions, and industries. And we collaborate with the patients and families who generously participate in our research studies and who teach us about the disease. We do this in many ways including:
