Point of Care Information Technology
The Johns Hopkins POC-IT Center develops evidence-based clinical decision support tools, bringing trusted information to the clinician at the point of care. POC-IT (point of care -- information technology) Guides—available on the web, mobile devices and in print—are designed for real-time use at the bedside or in the exam room in both primary and specialty care clinical settings.
POC-IT Guides are an ideal resource for:
- Medical Students
Developed and maintained by clinical experts at Johns Hopkins Medicine, the ABX Guide, the HIV Guide, the Diabetes Guide, and the Psychiatry Guide meet the ever urgent need of time-strapped clinicians by distilling complex material into need-to-know bullted information that is easily accessible, rapidly viewed and frequently updated.
The POC-IT Center also integrates Continuing Medical Education programs into Guides. These opportunities allow clinicians to learn while acquiring CME credit in the context of actual patient care. Accredited by Johns Hopkins Office of CME, these education materials qualify for quarter-hour and one-hour credits AACME credits.
To download the web and mobile versions of the POC-IT Guides, visit the Guides official site at Unbound Medicine.
Print versions of the POC-IT Guides can be ordered through Jones and Bartlett Learning.
