Registrations have begun coming in for the 2010 ISM Conference, which will take place on one day, Monday, May 10, 2010, from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. The theme will be "Emerging Themes in the Integration of Spirituality and Medicine." Renowned Hopkins Medical School faculty members will be featured, including Dr. Ben Carson and Dr. Peter Pronovost.
Dr. Daniel Sulmasy, OFM, MD, PhD, a Franciscan Friar, physician, ethicist and author, will be the featured plenary speaker. He holds the Sisters of Charity Chair in Ethics at St. Vincent's Hospital in Manhattan and serves as Professor of Medicine and Director of the Bioethics Institute of New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York.
The conference will take place in the School of Medicine Pre-Clinical Teaching Building on the hospital campus. The capstone of the day will be a celebration/ reception marking the 60th Conference sponsored by the Institute of Spirituality and Medicine.
