A tennis pro and a neurosurgeon team up to write a book…

While this may sound like the first line of a bad joke, this is, in fact, what happened when Dr Q was approached to contribute to Venus William’s book entitled, “Come to Win.” Dr Q authored a chapter entitled, “Maintaining Enthusiasm.”

The book is a compilation of first-person narratives from approximately 50 influential people who were involved with sports at some point in their lives but have become famous in fields outside of athletics. Dr Q was selected based on his background as a track-star and boxer and shared how lessons he learned through physical exertion have helped him become the successful neurosurgeon he is today.

Other contributors to the book include former Secretary of State, Condoleeza Rice; actor Denzel Washington; and former CEO of EBay and current California Gubernatorial candidate, Meg Whitman.
