Javier Avendano, M.D.

Research Fellow

Dr. Javier Avendaño joined the outcomes laboratory in March 2010 as a post-doctoral fellow. His research interest focuses on identifying clinical variables that affect outcomes in patients with malignant astrocytomas. His clinical interest includes neuro-oncology and, specifically, surgical treatment of brain and spine tumors.

Dr. Avendaño received his M.D. from the National University (UNAM) in Mexico City in 2004; he is currently a 6th year Neurosurgery resident at the National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery.
