Senior Database Administrator / Research Data Systems Manager

Mr Dziedzic brings years of extensive knowledge and experience in the development, administration and support of database applications.
Since 2006 Peter Dziedzic has a lead role in the planning, development, testing, maintenance, support and security of database systems in the HIV Neuroscience Program, Cutaneous Nerve Laboratory and the confocal laboratory. As the senior database administrator his functions include administration, data modeling, planning, performance tuning, optimization, recommendation,compliance with CLIA, JHACO, CAP regulations, and the development of existing and emerging database systems as well as oversight of database entry by technical staff.
As the senior DBA he has been working closely with programmers, statisticians, investigators, information technology staff, systems and network operations, laboratory staff, and provides technical expertise, support, and leadership. Peter Dziedzic has maintained frequent and detailed dialogue with laboratory investigators, faculty, trainees, collaborators, and/or external agents pursuant to the scope of his job. Mr Dziedzic formulates and implements solutions to database requests, as well as some statistical analysis. These duties are both highly specialized and diversified, governed by broad instructions, and require comprehensive analysis and judgment. As the senior DBA, Mr Dziedzic has proven to exercise a wide range of independent judgment related not only to the technical aspects of assignments, but also to work, scope, and the performance of others associated with these tasks.
Mr Dziedzic received his Master of Science in Applied Information Technology, Database Management from Towson University, Maryland in 2002. He is currently enrolled in Science of Clinical Investigation Graduate Certificate program offered by the Department of Clinical Investigation at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
