Gretchen Mulvihill, née Detweiler, received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Marketing in 2005 from Juniata College. Following graduation, she was an account executive with Advance News Magazines, a prestigious health care trade publication. Following this she was a Marketing Specialist/Account Executive for an engineering firm in Exton, PA, that specializes in traffic preemption and water conservation technology.
In 2010, Gretchen moved to Maryland and assumed the role of Program Administrator for the Department of Neurology. Gretchen serves as the Program Manager/Administrative Assistant for the JHU NIMH Center, maintaining communications among the Cores, and coordinating applications for the Developmental Core. In addition to coordinating the Center, she also directs projects, financial monitoring and administrative functions in support of faculty in the Neuroimmunology Division, as well as manages training grants and pilot grant activities, organizing the neuroimmunology lecture series and coordinating research activities within regulations. She assists with Project RESTORE, an awareness and development project for multiple sclerosis and transverse myelitis research and co-edits their newsletter.
