Amyloid Imaging as a Marker in HIV Infection (AIM HI) study

Purpose: This study will examine a novel neuroimaging tool, PET [18F] AV-45 uptake to detect excessive amyloid deposition in older HIV+ individuals, and will address the critical question of whether excessive amyloid deposition is chronologically inappropriate or associated with cognitive impairment in HIV+ individuals.
