Qualifications

Schools are encouraged to nominate 1 – 2 current juniors or seniors with strong academic records and an interest in science and/or medicine.  All interns will undergo a health screening, criminal background check, and training in the protection of human subjects prior to beginning their internship.

Nomination Procedure

Nominations must be received by February 28, 2013 to be considered.  Nominations should include the following (mailed together):

  1. A  description of the student’s qualifications, to be provided by the nominating school official or teacher.
  2. A copy of the student’s resume (or history of work/research experience).
  3. Two references (at least one from a teacher at  the student’s school).
  4. An official copy of the student’s transcript.
  5. Contact information for the student and a school representative.  Please include an email address.
  6. A cover letter from the student describing why they want to participate in the program.
