Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery and Oncology Director of Endoscopic and Minimally Invasive NeurosurgeryDr. Gary Gallia received his MD/PhD from Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Medical School in Philadelphia. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and working in the laboratory of Dr. Riggins. Dr. Gallia is involved in screening pediatric glioblastomas for mutations in the PIK3CA gene and identifying and testing PIK3CA/Akt pathway inhibitors. Also, along with Dr. Siu, he has performed transcript profiling of glioblastoma stem-like cells to identify and subsequently analyze candidate marker genes. |
