The Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center (JHOC) & The Johns Hopkins Hospital

Outpatient Center: 601 North Caroline Street
The Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center is located off Caroline Street in the block between Orleans and Monument Streets.  There is a parking garage on McElderry Street directly opposite the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center with reserved spaces for patients and their families.

From the NORTH (via I-95 South):

• Exit at I-895 (the highway splits; you will veer toward the left)
• Exit at Moravia Road (continue to light at end of ramp, but stay in right-hand lane)
• Exit onto Route 40 West (at light above, you turn left; then take an exit on the right 
  (this exit is right after the exit to get back on the highway & is often missed)
• Cross Orleans Street (do NOT turn onto it)
• Turn right onto Caroline Street and look for directional signs to the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center (McElderry) parking garage

From the NORTH (via I-83):

• At the termination of the interstate (exit 1), turn left onto Fayette Street (eastbound)
• Turn left onto Caroline Street
• After crossing Orleans Street, look for directional signs to the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center (McElderry) parking garage

From the SOUTH (via I-95 North):

• Exit at Russell Street
• Turn right onto Pratt Street (eastbound)
• Follow Pratt Street through downtown Baltimore (past the inner harbor)
• Turn left onto Caroline Street
• After crossing Orleans Street, look for directional signs to the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center (McElderry) parking garage

Getting from JHOC to the Main Hospital Lobby
The McElderry Garage located off of Caroline Street on McElderry Street has been designated as The Johns Hopkins Hospital’s Patient/Visitor Garage.  This facility provides direct covered access into the Hospital complex.

A patient/visitor courtesy shuttle is provided from the Outpatient Center Circle to The Johns Hopkins Hospital’s main entrance at the Wolfe Street Circle.  The shuttle runs every 20 minutes from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday.
There is also a valet service in the Wolfe Street Circle adjacent to the main entrance of the Hospital.  The service is available from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday with reduced hours (schedule in development) on weekends and holidays. 
The fees are:    0-3 hours $8.50       3-6 hours $10.00       6-24 hours $15.00
 
DIRECTIONS TO MEYER 2-147 FROM THE JOHNS HOPKINS HOSPITAL MAIN LOBBY

• After you enter the Main Lobby of the hospital, turn to your RIGHT so the Information Desk will be to your left.   Proceed STRAIGHT to the long corridor, following signs to the Meyer Building (the information desk can also assist you).  The corridor has windows on the right looking out to the main entrance parking area.
• Walk to the end of the long corridor where you will see a security guard stand to the left and double doors which exit to the right.
• Turn to the left and walk past the security guard desk – you are now in the Meyer Building.
• Walk through the small waiting area, past the Visitor Elevators (on right), and then turn RIGHT at the next corridor.
• Follow that corridor to the LEFT (you will pass Meyer 100), to the Meyer Building Staff / Research Elevators.
• Take the Staff / Research Elevators to the second floor.
• When you exit the elevator, proceed STRAIGHT down the hallway, past the restrooms on your right, and turn RIGHT through a set of double-doors with a plaque labeled “EEG / Meyer 2-147”
• Room 2-147 is the waiting room where you will be greeted at the scheduled time.
