The Neurosurgical Spine Center

The Johns Hopkins Neurosurgical Spine Center is dedicated to relieving pain, restoring function, and implementing cures for a range of conditions affecting the spine.

The Johns Hopkins Difference

Our team creates highly individualized treatment plans for each patient, ensuring that you get the best results with or without surgery.

In the event that your surgeon recommends an operative procedure, you can trust the world-renowned specialists at Johns Hopkins to get the best results possible--the first time. That means getting back to your life sooner, with less threat of enduring disability or repeat procedures.

One Patient's Experience

Sacral Chordoma: Susan’s Story

After being diagnosed with a rare sacral chordoma in Florida, Susan traveled to Johns Hopkins to have it removed by neurosurgeon Jean-Paul Wolinsky, M.D. With Susan’s approval, her resected tumor was replicated in the laboratory by neurosurgeon Alfredo Quinones-Hinojosa, M.D., meaning part of Susan will continue to live on to help find a cure or treatment options for chordomas.
