Minimally Invasive Endonasal Endoscopic Treatment

Our team approach to patient care brings together highly specialized neurosurgeons and otolaryngologists dedicated to safely removing skull base tumors, pituitary tumors, as well as other types of brain tumors, and lesions through endonasal endoscopic surgery.

This minimally invasive approach enables surgeons to:

  • Remove tumors and lesions directly through the nose and sinuses, without incisions on the face or skull
  • Access areas of the brain that are difficult to reach with traditional surgery
  • Perform surgeries on tumors once considered inoperable

Endonasal endoscopic surgery uses an endoscope, a small telescope-like device equipped with a high-resolution video camera to view and access tumors and lesions through the nose. With the guidance of state-of-the-art medical imaging, the tumor can be dissected and removed with the specially designed instrument.

  • The endonasal endoscopic surgery results in less pain and often a faster recovery than traditional surgery
  • The incision does not leave a visible scar on the face or scalp
  • Patients are able to start radiation therapy, if needed, almost immediately, without waiting for incisions to heal
