Traveling to Johns Hopkins

Patients can travel to Johns Hopkins by car, airplane or public transportation.

Arriving by car

The Johns Hopkins Hospital has several patient and visitor parking facilities, which are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They are conveniently located adjacent to the hospital and the Outpatient Center.

A shuttle service from BWI Airport to Johns Hopkins is available.

Hotels and housing

The Johns Hopkins housing program can assist families of out-of-town patients with finding a hotel or long-term housing option.  We negotiate with many Baltimore hotels near the hospital to provide reduced rates for families of patients under our care.

If a longer stay is required, there are many long-term leasing options available in a furnished town home or apartment. Many are located within 2 to 5 miles of The Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Guest services and information

Johns Hopkins wants every patient to feel at home during the visit. Our Guest Services representative is stationed at the main entrance to the hospital and can provide assistance with special needs, including: directions, notary services, newspaper delivery, special requests or information about accommodations.

Stop by Guest Services in the Zayed Tower on the Main Level/Arcade or call 410-614-5100, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We also have information desks throughout the campus with representatives who can answer questions, provide directions and be of assistance in any way possible.
