How to Apply

The Johns Hopkins University Division of Nephrology participates in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).  The Hopkins program has a 100% NRMP match rate.

Due to the COVID19 pandemic, the 2022 interview season will likely be conducted remotely through video conferencing software.

ERAS Application

  • All applicants for the fellowship program must submit their application online through (ERAS). Please be sure to provide the following:
  • Completed application
  • Three letters of recommendation (including letters from your residency training director and research mentor [if applicable]). If hardships due to the COVID19 pandemic preclude obtaining 3 letters, please contact us.
  • Personal statement concisely describing your previous clinical and research training, career goals in Nephrology, and potential research interests (if applicable)

NRMP Registration

All applicants to the Nephrology fellowship program are required to register with the NRMP.

Important Dates

July 5 2023: ERAS opens for candidates & programs
July 19, 2023: Rank order list entry opens
November 15, 2023: Rank order list certification deadline
November 29, 2023: Match Day
