Palliative Care

Palliative care is used to treat the symptoms of cancer. This kind of care cannot cure the cancer, but it does help the patient by alleviating pain and the associated symptoms of cancer and cancer treatment.

At the Johns Hopkins Medicine Liver Tumor Center, we are committed to treating the entire patient and providing care throughout the entire process of a patient’s cancer.  Although our goal is always to cure the patient of their cancer, we also have expertise in caring for patients who have advanced disease and need assistance with symptom control.
