Traveling for Care?
Whether you're crossing the country or the globe, we make it easy to access world-class care at Johns Hopkins.
Welcome to the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins. Here, our first priority is providing the highest quality of care to cancer patients. This means providing the best cancer therapy and supportive care available.
We understand that a diagnosis of cancer can be both stressful and overwhelming. Therefore, in order to ease some of this burden we have created a handbook that gives you quick and easy access to information you may need related to your personal care. The following pages provide information about your disease, treatment, symptom management, support programs, care at home and a guide to hospital and Internet resources. I encourage you to bring it with you for each visit.
Experience the Center by taking a virtual tour of our clinical care building. "Walk" through our facilities to learn more about services and programs. Prepare for your first visit with this step-by-step guide.
While we expect the handbook will be a valuable resource to you and your family, it is not intended to replace one-on-one communication between you and your caregivers. If at any time you have questions or concerns about your treatment, support services, or other matters, I encourage you to discuss them with a member of your health care team.
You may also download information and materials from the National Cancer Institute's Pub link.
