The Johns Hopkins Center to Reduce Cancer Disparities

Building upon the framework established through the Cigarette Restitution Fund public health grant, the Kimmel Cancer Center has a dedicated team of experts addressing cancer disparities through community-based participatory education, training, and research among racial/ethnic and underserved populations.

The Johns Hopkins Center to Reduce Cancer Disparities (CRCD) was established in September 2010 through a community academic-practice partnership in Baltimore City and Prince George's County, Maryland.  The Center seeks to reduce cancer disparities through community-based participatory research, community outreach and education, and training of early-stage investigators in cancer disparities research.  The CRCD is based at Johns Hopkins University and is funded by the National Cancer Institute's Community Network's Program (Grant 1U54CA153710-01).
