The Johns Hopkins Cancer Rehabilitation Program is a comprehensive interdisciplinary program developed to provide outpatient rehabilitation to all cancer patients and survivors in need, whether you are newly diagnosed or long finished with treatment. Our goal is to improve daily function and quality of life for the cancer survivor. We create customized programs to address a wide range of symptoms and diagnoses for each type of cancer. Our experienced team of therapists and physicians work with individuals to address rehabilitation needs for a variety of conditions including:

Q. What kind of therapy will I receive?
A. You will receive Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physiatry. We also have other services, such as Rehabilitation Psychology and Speech-Language Pathology, if you need them.
Q. Why do I need to see a physical therapist?
A. A physical therapist will help you address feeling tired, feeling weak, having pain, and having bad balance.
Q. Why do I need to see an occupational therapist?
A. An occupational therapist will address doing daily activities like dressing/grooming/bathing, increasing your fine motor skills, saving your energy, and improving memory and sight.
Q. Why do I need to see a physiatrist?
A. A physiatrist is a doctor with special training in physical medicine and rehab. They are experts in creating the best rehab programs and directing medical care. This doctor will perform an evaluation and manage medical problems associated with cancer such as fatigue, pain, and weakness.
Q. What type of diagnoses do you see?
A. We see a wide range of diagnoses, including but not limited to: prostate cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, spine and brain tumors, leukemia, head and neck cancer, lymphoma, bladder cancer, and colon and rectum cancer.
