Pediatric Liver Center

The staff at the Pediatric Liver Center in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center is committed to offering a comprehensive and compassionate approach to the diagnosis and management of pediatric liver disease. Our expert group of specialists, including pediatric hepatologists, pediatric liver transplant surgeons, advanced practice nurses, a nutritionist, a social worker, and a parent support group, specializes in the treatment and family-centric care of children. We will include you throughout the process, from diagnosis and treatment to long-term disease management.

Liver Space Facebook app

Finding other families with children suffering from rare forms of liver disease can be tough. Even doctors studying these illnesses can have trouble finding enough patients for their research. Liver Space, a new Facebook application led by pediatric gastroenterologist Dr. Douglas Mogul, seeks to address these problems by linking both groups through Facebook.

To sign up, visit apps.facebook.com/liverspace and create a profile. Notifications about new Liver Space content are automatically posted to your Facebook account. It also offers self-care tools, like lab results tracking and the ability to connect with others nearby who have the same disease.
