About Us
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) has the goal of providing guidance and direction in all phases of the safety program including occupational safety and health, environmental control, fire safety, safety-oriented training programs, and building and equipment design criteria affecting safety codes of standards. Our goal is to promote the health and productivity of employees at Johns Hopkins, by prevention and management of occupational injuries, illness, and disabilities.

Our Services
Health, Safety and Environment offers many forms of training to inform staff about established policies which ensure a safe work environment relating to:
- Work Related Accidents
- Fire Emergencies
- Hazard Communications
We also have training programs in other topics, including: packaging and shipment of biological materials, select agent certification, disposal of laboratory waste, chemical hygiene for laboratories, ergonomics and lifting, tuberculosis control, and respiratory protection.
